Hot Springs--The Ouachita Mountain region has been experiencing a series of flash floods. At 6:34am today Entergy enacted its High Water Notification. They released 32,000 cfs from Remmel Dam and expect that to increase within the hour. Blakely Dam has stopped all flows and helping hold much of the water upstream. The Ouachita River flows may be higher due to the inflow from its watershed below Remmel Dam. Both lakes Hamilton and Catherine are experiencing higher than normal lake levels but those levels should stabilize and begin to decrease. Lake Hamilton is at 401.09 And Lake Catherine is at 305.43. Both lakes were lowered late last week prior to these storms through releases from both dams: Check Arkansas lake and river levels here: http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=lzk  Last night's storm took the life's of two people in Nashville Arkansas after a reported tornado touched down and caused wide spread damage in parts of Arkansas.
